Canva Launches In Indonesia, Appoints Sony Radhityo As Country Manager

The startup has appointed Sony Radhityo as country head for the Indonesia market. He will lead a team of five to six people who works remotely in different Indonesian cities. Radhityo had previously held similar roles at Fabelio and Qraved.

Canva is a cloud-based design software that allows you to create graphic designs easily. At the platform’s core are its simple graphic design tools that let you create images for social media, blogs, presentations, or infographic – for free.

Since it launched an Indonesian language option in November 2016, it says its registered users grew to 100,000. Those users have created 3.5 million designs so far using the software.

According to Radhityo, should they see good traction from the local community, Canva may set up a permanent office in the archipelago.
